At Joeris General Contractors, our entire team is committed to sustainability. This commitment starts at the top level of our organization and permeates our entire company. In fact, our own office is currently registered and we are pursuing certification under the Existing Buildings standard. And, we have an established sustainable environment policy within our own organization. Our goal is to minimize our own environmental impact while providing innovative ideas and solutions to help our clients realize their goals of ‘going green’.

In addition, Joeris General Contractors, Ltd. has taken aggressive steps to provide appropriate training for all Joeris project managers in order for them to become LEED accredited. Currently, these efforts include in-house training for project managers, estimators, and senior staff as well as attendance and participation in numerous other LEED seminars and educational opportunities. The number of Joeris LEED AP’s continues to increase monthly. And, we have a full-time Sustainability Coordinator on staff – Cody Fuller. Cody coordinates all of Joeris’ green efforts, including collaborating on ongoing LEED construction projects, working with staff to become accredited, and adapting sustainable policies within our own office.

Our project teams take a ‘hands-on’ approach to the LEED process and are actively involved in each step, from design through pre-construction, construction and closeout and commissioning. This allows us to obtain every possible construction point in order to reach the desired level of certification.
